Catechetical Sunday

The 2nd collection this week is for our CCD program and Suzanne Crotty will speak after all the masses as we celebrate our catechists and teachers.   It is also a time to reflect on the role that each person plays, by virtue of Baptism, in handing on the faith and being a witness to the Gospel.  Catechetical Sunday is an opportunity for all to rededicate themselves to this mission as a community of faith.  Thank You to all our catechism and school teachers!

A Special Note

Fr. Tom Devereaux’s sister, Mary Terhune sent a note this week from her family which she wants to share with our parish:  Dear people of St. John the Baptist Parish,

Thank you for your kindness and love for our brother, Fr. Thomas while he was your pastor at St. John. He always spoke with respect and care for his parishioners.

Sincerely in Christ,

The Family of Fr. Thomas Devereaux
